Notes from 6th Jun 2004

Yesterday I developed two rolls from my tryouts of lower sensitivity films. Ilford FP4+ and Kodak 125PX. I am just scanning all that.
Today in few hours I am going to take a look to one Olympus OM-4. I will see what such a think looks like, I was playing with thought to buy one.

Back from Delft. Camera was interesting, little bit too much buttons for my taste, but I could get use to it. Little bit used as well, on the other hand that you can expect from almost 20 years old camera. MY OM-2n looks like new at it is also 20 years or more old. The lens 50/1.8 was totally useless, dirty inside, very hard diaphragm ring.
I was sitting there playing with camera and thinking. At the end I said no. I was going primary for that spot meter, but I am not sure if it was any extra use for me in a way was done there. The spot feels quite big, dimmer viewfinder. And I believe major reason was that camera was really used and lens was ready for recycling.

I promised while ago that I will show how to develop b&w film to our neighbor. So she came yesterday and we did one roll of Neopan 400 from her camera and one mine. I was little in hurry and I agitate not once a minute as I do normally but three times. This lead to little too dense negative from my exposures while, and that is interesting, her negative made on matrix metering of canon 300 where less dense. So it means, my meter little overexposing or her little underexposing.
