Notes from 20th Jun 2004

I have bought Olympus OM-2s program. Very similar camera to my OM-2n. Only major difference it has a spot meter, or better call it partial meter. It is also much younger than my and surprisingly it looks like completely new. So now I have quite a nice OM system, those two bodies and 28/2.8 and 50/1.4 and 85/2.0 lenses.
I did today one test roll with it and I am about to developed it now. I use spot meter to measure some scene and I am kind of curious to see how it turns out.

The roll is hanging to dry. It looks very good. I decrease a bit time as I was expecting different way of exposing it using spot meter will bring more dense highlights. What I do is measure the darkest spot on scene by spot meter and than closing the lest by two stops. To you who know about zone system, I was by that placing measurement of the darkest place from zone five to zone three. As usual I will scan film tomorrow and than will see more. But camera is working good, only thing is maybe that winding lever has a little too mechanic feeling, like it isn't lubricated enough.
